Field Service Engineer – CNC
Job description
As an incoming Field Service Engineer, you will be traveling to various locations to help our client’s customers repair their CNC machines.
Locations:
- Dallas, TX (1 position)
- Tulsa, OK (1 position)
- Hoffman Estates, IL (2 positions)
- Charlotte, NC (2-3 positions)
What You’ll Do:
- Traveling to customer sites, with some overnight travel (on average up to 4 – 6 nights per month) performing troubleshooting and repair of CNCs, control motors and drives, industrial lasers and precision machines.
- Providing hands-on technical assistance and customer support.
- Daily reporting to the Service Center Manager to update status and availability.
What You’ll Bring:
- A.S. Technology degree or equivalent experience
- BS-EET preferred
- Requires a valid state driver’s license and minimum 5-year violation free
- Electrical/Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience
- At least 2 years in a technical customer focused/field service position
Skills You’ll Have
- Electrical/Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience
- Familiarity with PLC is a plus
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Excellent computer skills
Other Details:
- Good visual acuity, hearing and speaking.
- Willing to work overtime to meet deadlines.
- Air travel is sometimes required
- This position requires you to be able to lift up to 75 pounds, repair work in industrial environments that vary from site to site and travel by auto and/or air for at least 5 hours at a time.
- Requires a valid state driver’s license and minimum 5-year violation free
