From vision-guided picking and palletizing to machine tending and inter-station transfer, our tailored solutions integrate robots, tooling, controls, and safety into reliable manufacturing workflows. Improve throughput, reduce manual handling demands, and create a more flexible foundation for future production needs.
Our Material Handling Solutions Services
Custom robotic systems that automate part movement, machine loading, inspection, and production flow across demanding manufacturing operations.
Robotic Material Handling
Custom FANUC robot cells automate pick-and-place, palletizing, depalletizing, racking, conveyor transfer, and part presentation. Each system is engineered around your parts, cycle times, floor space, controls, tooling, and safety requirements.
Robotic machine tending automates loading, unloading, door operation, and cycle starts for CNC machines, presses, and secondary operations. Custom grippers, fixtures, and programming help extend unattended production while freeing operators for higher-value tasks.
Machine vision enables robots to identify, locate, inspect, and handle parts despite changing orientation. Camera-guided bin picking, conveyor tracking, and position verification reduce fixturing needs while supporting flexible, adaptive material flow.
GLOBAL Automation Technologies designs engineered handling systems around the realities of your operation rather than off-the-shelf assumptions. Each project begins with a part and process study—geometry, weight, presentation, and rate—that drives end-of-arm tooling design and the choice between an articulated robot, gantry, or autonomous mover, which matters most for heavy or awkward components. Parts arrive on infeed conveyor that meters and accumulates them for a stable pick, then tooling transfers each to the machine, fixture, or downstream station. The team integrates conveyor interfaces, PLC controls, machine vision, and safety guarding into one coordinated cell, and validates reach, cycle, and handling through simulation and on-site run-off before production launch.

Meet the GLOBAL Team
Automation specialists built for complex manufacturing challenges worldwide.
GLOBAL Automation Technologies was founded in 2008 to solve manufacturing problems through automation. From the beginning, the company recognized that manufacturers need more than a robot cell—they need the engineering capability to design, launch, and sustain it—so GLOBAL combined robotic systems integration with technical staffing under one roof. Over 18+ years its team has grown to 110+ professionals covering system design, simulation, controls, programming, installation, and commissioning. With offices in four countries and projects completed across 22 countries, GLOBAL brings broad applications knowledge to automotive, EV, heavy equipment, aerospace, and industrial production.

Frequently Asked Questions
What payload, reach, and throughput can an engineered handling system deliver?
GLOBAL engineers each system to the payload, reach, and rate your parts demand instead of quoting a single figure—useful for the heavier components these cells often handle. Part weight, geometry, travel, and required cycle time drive robot or gantry selection with margin for dependable operation. Reach and cycle performance are validated in simulation against your parts before build, keeping the design grounded in real production targets.
How much part variety and changeover can one cell support?
An engineered cell can serve one part or a family of parts, depending on your production mix. GLOBAL studies the range of sizes, weights, surfaces, and orientations the system must handle and designs tooling, fixtures, and controls to suit. Where parts change often, recipe-driven controls and vision-adaptive or interchangeable tooling let the cell move between variants without extensive rework.
How is end-of-arm tooling engineered, and who supplies the grippers?
Tooling is engineered to how each part must be gripped—vacuum, mechanical clamp, magnetic, or custom fingers based on weight, surface, and rigidity, including heavy or awkward components. GLOBAL designs or specifies the end-of-arm tooling as part of the cell and sources grippers from established component suppliers rather than leaving the customer to procure them. The result places each part accurately and securely without damage.
Can an engineered handling system work with our existing equipment and AMRs?
Yes. Cells can be engineered to integrate with existing CNC machines, presses, conveyors, assembly stations, racks, and plant controls, along with infeed points and any autonomous movers. GLOBAL evaluates equipment interfaces, cycle times, process flow, footprint, and controls architecture before defining the integration. The design can modernize a manual operation or extend an automated line while minimizing disruption to production.
How is the cell guarded and made safe for operators?
Each cell is enclosed and interlocked so operators and the robot stay separated during operation, which also removes people from repetitive lifting and pinch-point tasks. GLOBAL applies fixed guarding, light curtains, safety scanners, interlocked access, and safety-rated controls suited to the layout, with parts moving through guarded zones. The safeguarding follows recognized industrial robot safety practices and is reviewed against how the cell is operated and maintained.
How much floor space does an engineered cell need, and how is it installed?
Footprint and layout are engineered around available floor space, traffic, and where the cell connects to upstream and downstream operations. GLOBAL defines access clearances and utility needs during design and confirms reach and flow through simulation before build. Installation and commissioning are scheduled around your production to keep disruption low.
What support, training, and spares follow commissioning?
After commissioning, GLOBAL provides operator and maintenance training, technical documentation, and ongoing support so your team can run and maintain the cell. Recommended spares for tooling, robot, and controls can be identified to help limit downtime, and support covers troubleshooting, adjustments, and future additions. When more coverage is needed, GLOBAL can provide technical staffing, and cells are built for sustained production with service handled during scheduled maintenance windows.
