Robotic Welding Cells
Custom single-robot, multi-robot, and coordinated welding cells engineered around structural steel geometry, weld specifications, production rates, fixtures, and safe part presentation.
GLOBAL Automation Technologies designs robotic welding cells for structural steel fabricators seeking repeatable weld quality, higher throughput, and safer production. From complex part presentation and custom fixtures to seam tracking and quality verification, our systems are engineered around your steel assemblies, production targets, and plant constraints. Put proven FANUC robotics, simulation, and integration expertise to work on demanding fabrication applications.

Integrated robotic welding capabilities built for consistent, high-volume structural steel fabrication and production-line performance.
Custom single-robot, multi-robot, and coordinated welding cells engineered around structural steel geometry, weld specifications, production rates, fixtures, and safe part presentation.
Level 5 FANUC Authorized System Integrator services for welding automation, from robot selection and simulation through controls integration, programming, commissioning, and long-term support.
Machine vision systems identify parts, locate seams, verify positions, and support adaptive path correction when component variation makes fixed robotic welding paths impractical.
Robotic handling systems load, orient, transfer, rack, and de-rack steel components so welding cells receive parts consistently and maintain productive cycle times.
Engineering studies evaluate your structural steel workflow, cycle times, facility constraints, automation scope, capital needs, and projected return before full system implementation.
End-to-end delivery combines cell design, tooling, controls, build, installation, commissioning, training, documentation, and ongoing support under one experienced automation partner.
A robotic welding system should fit the work—not force your fabrication process into a generic cell. GLOBAL engineers welding automation around your structural steel parts, joint requirements, throughput goals, and available floor space. Custom fixtures, servo positioning, material handling, vision guidance, and FANUC robot programming work together to deliver stable weld paths, reduce rework, improve operator safety, and create a scalable foundation for higher-volume production.

A single automation partner for the robotic system and the engineering talent behind it.
One team manages design, build, programming, validation, installation, training, and long-term support.
Level 5 FANUC integration capabilities support dependable welding cells for demanding industrial production environments.
AI-assisted simulation helps identify issues before deployment and accelerates robot programming from weeks to days.
With projects across 22 countries, GLOBAL brings cross-industry knowledge to complex structural steel automation challenges.
Automation specialists focused on solving complex manufacturing challenges.
GLOBAL Automation Technologies was founded in 2008 to solve manufacturing problems through automation. Rather than separating system integration from the people required to operate and support it, GLOBAL built a unified model that provides both robotic systems and experienced engineering talent. Today, our 110+ team members work across plant floors, simulation labs, and customer sites, bringing practical insight to robotic welding, material handling, assembly, and production-line modernization. Our North American manufacturing relationships—including work with automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and heavy industry—inform solutions for demanding fabrication environments. With offices in four countries and projects completed in 22 countries, GLOBAL combines global perspective with hands-on engineering accountability. Our vision remains straightforward: deliver automation systems that perform in the real world and the people who help keep them running.
Structural steel fabrication commonly uses gas metal arc welding (GMAW/MIG), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW/stick), and submerged arc welding (SAW). The appropriate process depends on steel thickness, joint design, weld position, production volume, applicable code requirements, and required weld quality. Robotic cells are often configured for repeatable GMAW or FCAW applications where consistent travel speed and torch angle are critical.
