Polishing Cell Integration
Custom robotic cells combine robot selection, end-of-arm tooling, fixtures, guarding, controls, and programming to automate polishing around your part geometry, surface requirements, floor space, and production targets.
GLOBAL Automation Technologies engineers robot polishing solutions that help manufacturers achieve consistent surface finishes, repeatable cycle times, and safer production workflows. From process studies and offline simulation to tooling, vision guidance, installation, and support, our team builds automation around your parts, materials, finish requirements, and throughput goals—so demanding polishing work can move from manual variability to controlled, scalable performance.

Custom automation capabilities for repeatable surface finishing, adaptive part handling, inspection, and production-ready robotic cell integration.

Machine vision helps locate parts, verify orientation, and guide robot motion when component placement or geometry varies, improving repeatability while reducing the need for rigid, dedicated fixturing.
GLOBAL uses process studies, simulation, controls integration, and production validation to refine paths, speeds, tooling interaction, and inspection requirements before supporting a reliable production launch.
Robot polishing can help manufacturers create a more consistent finishing process while reducing the variability and physical demands of repetitive manual work. GLOBAL engineers each cell through a clear sequence: it starts with a part and finish study on representative components to understand the material, geometry, access, and the finish the part has to reach. From there the team selects the media and tooling, from abrasive belts and flap wheels to buffs and brushes, and applies compliant, force-controlled tooling so the robot holds steady contact pressure as it follows contours rather than relying on position alone. Fixturing and part presentation are designed to locate parts repeatably, whether the robot carries the tool to a clamped part or the part to a fixed spindle or backstand. Engineers then develop and refine the robot paths, speeds, and step sequence, plan dust and media extraction with guarding and interlocks, and validate the process against agreed finish criteria during a run-off before production launch. The result is a finishing process tuned for repeatable results and safer, more predictable operation.

A single automation partner for the system, engineering expertise, and support needed to put it into production.
One team manages design, simulation, build, programming, commissioning, training, and ongoing production support.
Level 5 is the top tier of FANUC's Authorized System Integrator program, reserved for partners with demonstrated engineering capability across a broad range of applications.
Simulation tools help identify issues early and accelerate robot programming before deployment begins.
Robotic systems integration and technical staffing provide the equipment and engineers through one partner.
Automation specialists built for complex manufacturing challenges.
GLOBAL Automation Technologies was founded in 2008 to solve manufacturing problems through automation, pairing robotic systems integration with technical staffing so manufacturers have a single source for both the equipment and the engineers who support it. Over 18+ years, the company has grown to more than 110 team members with project experience in 22 countries. Its engineers work across robotics, controls, simulation, machine vision, installation, and commissioning for automotive, heavy industry, aerospace, and other demanding production environments, staying focused on practical engineering that improves quality, throughput, and safety.
GLOBAL builds robotic cells for polishing, buffing, grinding, and deburring across a range of materials, including carbon and stainless steel, aluminum, brass, castings, forgings, and many composites and plastics. Finish goals can range from edge-break and deburring to satin and brushed textures through to bright, high-luster buffing. What is achievable depends on the base condition of the part, its geometry, and how accessible the surfaces are, so GLOBAL reviews representative parts and finish expectations before defining the process.
