Vision-Guided Sortation
Machine vision identifies products, verifies orientation, and guides robotic handling decisions so variable items can be accurately routed with less manual intervention and fewer fixturing requirements.
Move products through demanding warehouse operations with automated sortation systems engineered for speed, accuracy, and flexibility. GLOBAL combines robotic material handling, machine vision, controls integration, and production expertise to create tailored workflows that reduce manual touches, improve order flow, and support scalable fulfillment. From concept through commissioning, our team helps manufacturers and distribution operations automate with confidence.

Custom warehouse sortation capabilities that connect robotics, vision, conveyors, and controls into efficient material-flow operations.
Machine vision identifies products, verifies orientation, and guides robotic handling decisions so variable items can be accurately routed with less manual intervention and fewer fixturing requirements.
Robotic pick-and-place, bin picking, transfer, palletizing, and depalletizing systems move products between sortation zones while supporting defined cycle times, floor-space constraints, and production requirements.
GLOBAL manages system design, simulation, controls, build, installation, commissioning, training, and ongoing support to deliver a connected sortation solution ready for operational launch.
A sortation system does more than move products, it keeps the whole facility flow connected, and GLOBAL Automation Technologies engineers each one around the item mix, routing logic, and required throughput. The work begins with a process study of the items, volumes, and destinations, which guides selection of the induction method and divert mechanism, whether sliding-shoe, cross-belt, tilt-tray, or pusher. Items are inducted, singulated, and identified by scanning or machine vision as they move down the line, and the controls apply routing rules to release each one to the correct lane. Conveyors, diverts, scanning, and safety guarding are integrated to fit the facility layout, and simulation helps resolve issues before deployment. GLOBAL proves the system out at production conditions and supports installation, commissioning, training, and long-term performance.

Engineers who turn complex automation challenges into working systems.
GLOBAL Automation Technologies was founded in 2008 to solve manufacturing problems through automation, recognizing that manufacturers often need more than a robotic system, they also need experienced people to engineer, launch, and sustain it. GLOBAL built its model around both needs, combining robotic systems integration with technical staffing under one roof. Over 18+ years, its 110+ team members have supported automation projects from early feasibility studies and simulation through installation, commissioning, and ongoing support. With offices in four countries, project experience in 22 countries, and more than 630 robots sold worldwide, GLOBAL brings a broad applications perspective to every project.
Sortation systems can be engineered for cartons, cases, totes, polybags, and mixed parcels, with handling matched to each item's size, weight, and surface. The suitable range depends on how consistently items can be conveyed, scanned, and diverted without jamming or damage. GLOBAL reviews the item and parcel mix, including the hardest-to-handle pieces, and designs the induction, conveyor, and divert equipment around it. Where items vary widely, machine vision can help identify and locate them as they move down the line.
