Packaging Automation Expertise

Build a Faster, More Reliable End-of-Line

GLOBAL designs robotic case packing and palletizing cells that fit the realities of your line, engineering each one around the products and cases it will run. Work starts with a load and SKU study — product and case dimensions, weights, pack arrangements, and pallet patterns — followed by end-of-arm tooling selection for both the packing pick and the case-stacking gripper. Product is metered and oriented on the infeed so it loads into cases correctly, and packed cases move to the palletizing stage where pack and pallet recipes configured in software keep both operations coordinated. Pallet dispensing, slip- and tier-sheet placement, and the handoff to downstream stretch wrapping are built in where needed, all inside safety guarding with guarded infeed and pallet outfeed. Each cell is sized to the reach and payload its patterns require and run off with your product across both stages before it is handed to production. Optional vision guidance verifies orientation and placement for flexible handling.

Frequently Asked Questions

What throughput can a combined case packing and palletizing cell reach?

Because the cell both loads products into cases and stacks finished cases onto pallets, its rate reflects two linked operations — how fast products are packed into each case and how quickly cases are palletized. Case weight and size, pack pattern, pallet pattern, picks per cycle, and robot reach all shape cycle time. Rather than quoting a fixed cases-per-hour figure, GLOBAL sizes the cell to the sustained rate your line requires and validates both stages with simulation before build. Where demand is high, separate robots for packing and palletizing, or accumulation between them, help hold a steady pace.

Can one cell handle several case sizes and both pack and pallet patterns, and how are they programmed?

How is the tooling designed for both packing and palletizing, and who supplies the grippers?

How do product infeed, pallets, slip sheets, and stretch wrap tie into the cell?

How is the combined packing and palletizing cell guarded?

How much floor space does a combined cell need, and what does installation involve?

How does changeover work, and what support follows deployment?
