Turnkey Integration

Complete robotic automation systems delivered from process study and simulation through design, controls, installation, commissioning, training, and ongoing support.

Machine Tending

Custom robotic cells load, unload, orient, and start equipment cycles to increase utilization, extend unattended operation, and free operators for higher-value responsibilities.

Material Handling

Flexible FANUC robotic handling systems support pick-and-place, racking, conveyor transfer, palletizing, depalletizing, and camera-guided bin picking for demanding production environments.

Vision Guidance

Machine vision helps robots identify parts, verify position and presence, inspect quality, and adapt to variable orientations without unnecessary fixturing.

Line Upgrades

Modernize existing production lines with new robots, equipment integration, manual-process conversion, and controls improvements while minimizing disruption to active manufacturing.

Automation Feasibility

Process analysis, cycle-time evaluation, conceptual design, and ROI assessment help manufacturers define practical automation scope before committing to a full integration.

End-to-End Engineering

Automation Built Around Your Production Goals

GLOBAL develops mill automation systems around the realities of each operation: equipment interfaces, part variation, cycle-time targets, available floor space, and quality requirements. Each cell starts with a part and machine study, then moves through end-of-arm tooling and fixturing, machine-tool signal integration—the I/O handshake for cycle-complete, door open, and chuck or clamp confirmation tied through the cell PLC—and any in-process gauging, deburring, or material handling the part requires. Where a robot performs material removal, rigidity, cutting forces, and reach are weighed to set realistic tolerance expectations for the application. Guarding, interlocked gates, and light curtains are built in, and the complete cell is proven out during run-off before production. The team combines robot simulation, controls engineering, machine vision, tooling, and production-launch support into one coordinated solution, giving manufacturers a practical path to higher throughput, more consistent processes, extended unattended running between scheduled maintenance windows, and reduced exposure to repetitive or hazardous work.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which mills and spindles can be automated?

Mill automation cells tend vertical and horizontal machining centers, along with turning centers, grinders, and multi-axis mills, and can coordinate several machines under one robot where cycle times allow. The machine interface and the spindle cycle largely shape how the robot works around each mill, together with part weight, geometry, and access. GLOBAL engineers each cell for the specific equipment rather than fitting a standard template to it.
